News From Around Our District

  • NEWPORT, Maine — A Nokomis Regional High School senior was awarded The Army Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps’ highest honor on Friday, Oct. 3.

    Felix Thibodeau, was selected from among some 470,000 JROTC cadets. The award, the Legion of Valor Bronze Cross for Achievement,is presented annually to six Army JROTC cadets nationwide.





    DEXTER- Health Occupations Students from Tri-County Technical Center are making a difference one benefit walk at a time.  On Sunday, October 5th they took part in the Woman Care Race to End Domestic Violence held in Guilford raising awareness of ending domestic violence and over $140.00 in donations.  We would like to thank all who participated and/or made financial donations to this benefit walk.

  • For the second year, Superintendent Greg Potter called for nominations in five (5) categories of coworkers who make a positive impact in RSU 19.  The Employee Recognitions were announced at an all staff workshop on Monday, August 22, 2014 at Nokomis Regional High School.  The following staff members received a plaque and were not only surprised by their award, but also by family members invited in their honor:



    Outstanding New Support Staff Member (employed 4 years or less)

  • School Resource Officer Chris MacCrillis and students enjoy the annual student art show, recently on display at St Albans School.

  • On Friday, May 2, Nokomis students and staff gathered in the gym to cheer on all third-year students in anticipation of Saturday's SAT, a rigorous assessment required by the State as part of Maine's comprehensive assessment system.
