It is expected to be extremely cold tomorrow, February 3rd. Although students will not be having outside recess, students should still be bundled up warmly for arrival and dismissal. If your child rides the bus, please make sure they are bundled up in winter gear. It would be safest for parents to wait out by the bus stop in a vehicle with your child so he/she can stay warm until the bus arrives for pick up. Please be ready to receive your child(ren) at afternoon dismissal as well. We want to make sure all of our students are warm and safe! When we return to school after the weekend, the building is likely to be colder than is typical. Please make sure you dress your child in warm clothing or layers so they are comfortable during the school day.

This is a reminder that there is no school on Monday, January 16th in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. day. Wednesday, January 18th is an early release day. Students riding the bus will be dismissed at 11:30am. Students being picked up are dismissed at 11:40am.

This is a reminder that SVES is holding a PK-2 concert tomorrow starting at 9:30am. The doors will open for seating starting at 9:00am. Parking is available in the lower parking lot or directly in front of the school.

This is a reminder that tomorrow, Tuesday, November 22nd is an early release day. Students at SVES riding the bus are dismissed at 11:30am. Parent pick-ups are dismissed at 11:40am.

This is a reminder for parents dropping students off in the morning at SVES. Please be sure to park in a parking space if you need to exit your vehicle to walk your child up to the school. In order to avoid congestion in the parent drop off line, we need all vehicles to pull up as far as possible and have your student(s) exit on the passenger side of your vehicle. There are many staff members outside to assist your child in getting safely into the building. Students drop off time begins at 7:40am when staff members are present outside along the walkway. This message is for families of students at SVES that ride the bus. Buses left the school 10 minutes later today than usual. Any student that typically rides on bus N4 has been added to another bus route. Students that ride on buses N2, N3 and N4 will arrive at their destinations outside of their normal drop off times. We appreciate your patience as drivers work to get students home this afternoon.

This is a reminder that tomorrow is a half day of school for students. SVES buses will be leaving the school at 11:30am. Students being picked up are dismissed at 11:40am. Please send a note in with your child if his/her transportation needs will be different for the half day of school. There is no school for students on Friday, October 7th, due to a teacher workshop. There is also no school on Monday, October 10th in observance of Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Fourth grade band students need to have their instruments for a district band practice tomorrow. This is a student only event, not a community/parent event. It is an opportunity for our band students to meet other band members in the district prior to playing in middle school together. Our 3rd/4th grade concert for family members will be held on Thursday, June 2nd at 9:30am. Our fourth grade band will be performing in this concert along with our vocal performances. It will be recorded by Warrior Broadcasting and posted online for those that are unable to attend in person.

This is a reminder that our PK-2 concert is tomorrow, May 25th, at 9:30AM. Family members are welcome to attend this in person event. Friday of this week, May 27th, there is no school for students as it is a workshop day for staff. Our grade 3/4 concert will be next week on June 2nd at 9:30AM.

This message is to inform SVES parents that have a student riding on Howard's bus C3, that the bus is running at least 20 minutes late for those students that have not already been dropped off yet. This is due to issues the bus is having get off a muddy road.

Tonight's the night! SVES Family STEAM Night virtual event from 5:30-7:00pm. The link is available on the SVES page of the district website at www.rsu19.org. SVES students that fill out the exit ticket at the end of the event will be entered into a drawing to win prizes! We have lots of great prizes to give away.

This is a reminder for SVES families that our Flu Shot clinic is being held this Friday, September 15, 2021 from 10:30-12:30. Only students that have returned a completed and signed consent form are able to receive the flu shot at school. If you have not completed a form but wish for your child to receive a flu shot, please return your child's completed form to the school as soon as possible.
