Attention NRMS families-The NRMS holiday instrumental and choral concerts will not be happening this week. They have been moved to January. The new performance dates will be shared as soon as they are established! The NRMS music department thanks you for your support and sends along good wishes for a joyous holiday season!
Just a reminder that NRMS's picture re-take day is tomorrow, Dec. 2nd. Call the school if you have any questions!
NRMS Families- The message about today being a full day was for ALL students, but 7th and 8th graders are still remote until Monday, November 15th. No 7th or 8th graders should be reporting to school today, but should be joining their classes online. All 5-8 students should plan to return to the building on Monday. Sorry for the confusion.
Just a reminder for parents-tomorrow, November 10th, is a full day of school; it is NOT an early release day. There is no school for students on Thursday, November 11th (Veteran's Day) or Friday, November 12th (staff professional development day). All students should plan to return to the building on Monday, November 15th.
This message is for NRMS 7th and 8th grade families: Students were prepped today as to what to expect from their remote learning days from Thursday, Nov. 4th-Wednesday, Nov. 10th. They should have everything they need to follow their schedules and join their classes for the next five days. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your child's teacher(s) or have the student reach out. You can also call the school at 355-3600. We will plan to see everyone back in the building on November 15th!

All enrolled students grades 7 through 12 may sign up for meals during the remote closure Nov 4th through 10th at Nokomis Regional High/Middle School. These meals are pick-up only. There will be no home delivery. Both breakfasts and lunches will be combined and can be picked up at the nearest school to your home for convenience. Contact David Leighton at dleighton@rsu19.net or 355-3613 with questions.
Good evening, NRMS families! We are looking forward to the first day of school tomorrow! Please remember that students can be dropped off after 7:30 and the school day officially starts at 8:05. Also, breakfast and lunch are free for students again this year! It always takes a few days to work the kinks out, but we are happy we can start with everyone in the building five days per week! It’s going to be a great year!
Dismissal from NRMS this year will be as follows:
All Etna, Dixmont, and Plymouth students will be dismissed at 2:15
All Hartland, Palmyra, and St. Albans students will be dismissed at 2:18
All Newport and Corinna students will be dismissed at 2:20
These are approximate times and are later than last year. Please plan accordingly! If you have questions, call the school at 355-3600!
Grades 6th-8th Open House that was scheduled for Monday, August 30th has been postponed. Feel free to call the school starting on Monday the 30th to find out who your child's homeroom teacher is. Schedules will be available for students on the first day of school. We look forward to seeing everyone on Sept. 1st!
We had to make some changes to our format for the 5th grade Open House, on Wednesday, August 25th. Students with the last name starting with A-K should attend from 5:30-6:00 and students with the last name starting with L-Z should attend from 6:15-6:45. The goal will be for students to see their homeroom classroom and meet their homeroom teacher! Call the school if you have any questions! 355-3600
Attention NRMS 8th grade Team B parents/families: Some of the 8th grade recognition night tickets that went home yesterday with the team B students say Monday, June 14th, BUT they SHOULD say Tuesday, June 15th! To reiterate, the recognition night for Team B is Tuesday, June 15th 6-7:30. We apologize for the mix-up and confusion it may have caused. Let us know if you have any questions!
Just a reminder for NRMS families...we need all laptops, chargers, bags, and hot spots turned into the school by Friday, June 11th from all students in grades 5 & 6. Students in grade 7 can keep their devices, but should turn in their hot spots if they have one. Grade 8 students have already been switching out their devices for their high school ones, but if that hasn't happened yet they should contact their homeroom teacher. We will plan to collect through the 15th, but the sooner the better! If you have any questions, contact the school!
Just a reminder to the NRMS 8th graders/families: All Maine Sampler items need to be brought into school on Tuesday, June 1st so they can be organized into their orders for the pick up that is happening on Wednesday, June 2nd. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Jewett! Have a great weekend!

Good evening NRMS families! 7th and 8th graders are able to start their four day schedule tomorrow, Monday, March 22. We are excited to have students return to the building and are hopeful the transition to this new schedule will go off without a hitch. We heard from many of you, but please contact the school if you have any questions regarding your child’s return. The first few days may require some adjustments, but we are looking forward to starting the third trimester with a schedule that is a bit closer to normal! Have a great night!
NRMS has kicked off a spring fundraiser, which will end on March 8th! The physical catalogs went home with students this week, but there's also a way to order online. The link below will take you to the online catalog and the additional information explains the process to shop online, where there are more products available! It's a few extra steps, but the extra products available to order are worth it!
